Ron Trueman-Border & Paul Sirman @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2011

Ron is certainly one of the most prolific singer-songwriters on the scene.  He writes about accessible subjects which the listener can empathise with.  He also creates some lively choruses! 

He is joined by regular partner Paul Sirman who brings with him his considerable experience of playing clubs and festivals.

Monroes Revenge @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2009

This is a 5 piece bluegrass band.  The members are Dave Plane, Roger Blackbourn, Joe Hymas, Richard Partridge, and Dick Embery on guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle and bass respectively.  They’ve been playing together for 22 years!

SINGERS & MUSICIANS NIGHT

Singers' Nights are a popular part of the club's program with all types of acoustic folk music and songs performed.  This is the chance for SOLO or GROUPS of singer musicians to come and showcase their talent.

DUO'S NIGHT With :
Famous Last Words is an Alternative/Folk/Rock duo from Croydon way.  David Scott and Dietrich Nanton have been playing together for a number of years.  They describe their type of music as Folk 'n Roll and their most popular number is undoubtedly 'Three Kinds of Fool'.

Fiddlefit comprises Judith, playing fiddle, and Bill on guitar, using vocals and melody to conjure up a wide selection of folk based music ranging from trad to country.  They also incorporate lively instrumentals including jigs and reels and a medley of Russian tunes!
