Isobel Morris & Jim Kimberley (Murder of Rooks, Bruies)
Isobel Morris & Jim Kimberley (Murder of Rooks, Bruies) @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2009

Normally a trio Isobel Morris, Jim Kimberly and Gary Southwell and various incarnations; “Murder of Rooks “and “Bruise”.   The duo Isobel & Jim perform mainly traditional music and song.

Simplicity and restraint is the key to this duo, bringing a new lease of life to traditional favourites and newly written self penned songs.

Isobel Morris sings tales of unlucky thieves, transsexual sailors and grieving widows, coupled with Jim’s sparse musical arrangements on guitar and Isobel's Ukulele, they are a breath of fresh air.  My favourite song “Sam Hall”

Liz Simcock Trio
Liz Simcock trio @ Orpington Folk Club, the Change of Horses 2009

Very popular singer / songwriter. Weaver of wistful enigmatic songs.  She'll be playing with IN & WJ, but will she have her new handmade guitar with her?  Will Warwick show us his potatoes?   Will Del be here?
