Burt Crittenden died on Wednesday 12th September 2007 after a long illness.  Together with his wife Nell he made regular visits to Orpington Folk Club.  He played melodeon and was a loyal musician for Motley Morris and Loose Women (and any other morris side who would have him!).  He was also a fulsome contributor to numerous pub music sessions in Kent and Surrey.  He will be missed.  Our sympathy goes to his wife Nell and his family.

Bert's funeral was held on Thursday 20th September at Cudham church followed by burial.  The mourners then socialised at the Blacksmith's Arms.  Unfortunately I was unable to attend but was told that the church was full to capacity.
