Orpington folk club is on the move
After 20 happy years at The White Hart Orpington Folk Club is moving.
The White Hart is changing to Spirit "Q", a different arm of the Spirit brewery and is to be refurbished and turned into a sports pub. They plan to have 3 plasma screens; several pool tables and the place is to be brightly decorated. It is meant to appeal to 18-25 year olds and will include security at the main entrance. As this type of venues does not cater for the discerning real ale drinker or folky
(you can't have a folk club without beer) we have decided to move out. The publicans of The Anglesea Arms, Donald and Claire have offered us their function room. So as from and including 26th September 2002 we will be meeting on thursday evenings at 8:15pm at The Anglesea Arms, 1 Kent Road, Orpington, Kent.

For further details please phone Steve Jennings or Ted Handley.
